I want this Lotus Eclat. $4500
1977 lotus éclat. Runs and drives but needs carb and clutch adjustments. Paint is crazed and cracked with a few chips. Interior needs complete rework. Tires are in good shape. Needs the switches and gauges out back in the dash. As far as I can tell only 1500 of these were made from 1974 to 1980 and only about 350 still exist. This is as far as I know the only one for sale right now in the United States.

The Eclat is a fantastic specimen. But I’ve always wanted to import an Excel, which was basically a facelifted Eclat.
It looks more... finished. More refined. And with a standard engine already available in the US Esprit, it’d pass emissions. With a turbo Esprit 4 swap, it’d be quicker than stock.

I like the eclat better with its 70’$ wedginess and just plain 70’$-ness.

Moldy carpet means there’s probably rust underneath, but it’s an old Lotus, so whatevs. I’d be more worried about the rear crossmember. NP.
